Thanks to the robustness of the membranes used, memsorb™ can be used for up to 12 months before replacement. As a result, the cost of transport, storage, and handling of absorbers is eliminated. memsorb™ is priced at the same cost per hour of surgery as the traditional single-use chemical absorbers, while eliminating unnecessary inventories and disposal costs.
Filtration technology provides the anesthesiologist the option to safely use lower fresh gas flows than traditionally used with chemical absorbers. Our studies indicate that when used with low-fresh gas flows, significant vapor savings can be achieved1. These additional savings accrue directly to the customer, resulting in net operational savings.
